you could SSH into your phone and grab the sms.db and your photos out of your phone. Then restore as a new phone, rejailbreak, then SSH back into your phone and put those files back onto your phone. It would accomplish the same thing

If you go this route make sure you have everything set to the correct permissions or it will not work correctly.
