Restore as new phone - what happens to text messages/photos/save-games etc

Just a quick question as I'm fed up with my iPhone4 getting sluggish. I'm thinking of restoring the phone as a new phone and then restoring from icloud but I have several years of text messages, photos (before photo stream started), and app data (such as game saves and other data) that I really don't want to loose. Will these things be restored from icloud or should I be prepared to loose them?

If you do not restore as a new phone, you will get the sluggishness back again...

You can only restore contacts and notes and such from iCloud, not an iCloud back up to get rid of most of the sluggishness

so yes, you will have to reload your apps 1 at a time or with your computer.. and u will lose the texts.. back up the photos on your computer

ADDITIONAL: you can then sync the photos back to your phone.

Everything will be lost except for notes, reminders, bookmarks, iCloud mail, and iCloud calendar data. Messages, Photos (ones not in Photo Stream), all app data, etc will be lost.
