Nope, just the eject button. The finder should have a progress circle on the device. Your left hand side on the side bar.
Oh then it’s one of those that goes and comes back lol. How much stuff did you have on the backup? I restored yesterday using an encrypted backup and it took about an hour and a half. Had about 400gb of phone storage used up including 180gb in the Photos app.Nope, just the eject button.![]()
Wonder why mine was so slow. Must be my crap late 2015 iMac.Oh then it’s one of those that goes and comes back lol. How much stuff did you have on the backup? I had almost 240gb to back up from the old phone. Could also be an issue with my Mac, as mine is late 2015 and I've had issues with plugging into the USB port before where it'll act like it sees the phone, and then disappears, then reconnects, and just keeps doing that. I had to plug into the USB port on the back of my Apple monitor to get it to stop.Oh then it’s one of those that goes and comes back lol. How much stuff did you have on the backup? I haven't seen any progress circle at all although I must admit I haven't been staring at the screen nonstop, but rather coming back to check every so often.Mine took 2 hours. Showed eject button for a while, then progress circle, back to eject button. The phone continued to say restore in progress for a little while the second time it showed the eject button.
I just updated from is 10.11 to 10.15 on my Mac. Started that process Wednesday at 3:00. Friday night I was still dealing with rebuilding email and other stuff. Then had to deal with backing up old phone and activating/restoring new phone. Definitely not the Apple experience of years ago.I had almost 240gb to back up from the old phone. I also recently had issues with Photos and not being able to sync from the iPhone to there or to Image Capture. Finally got fed up and purchased iMazing and was able to get my photos off with that app no problem. Thinking I might have to back my old phone up with iMazing and restore from there as opposed to the stock solution.
Really frustrating that this phone arrived yesterday afternoon and I am still fighting with it.
