So with a lot of us all getting new iPhones in the morning the great question comes whether you will backup and restore from there, basically picking up where you left off on new hardware, or will you set up from scratch and just take the essentials bits with you?

I restored from backup when I went from 5S - 6S Plus so this time around I'm tempted to go from scratch this time around. Is there any benefit to this in terms of performance or would I just be making it a little bit difficult for myself? And how will you do yours?

I always restore from backup starting with my first iPhone 3G. Clean up the phone a bit first, removing old apps, pics etc. Do an encrypted backup and restore to new phone in iTunes. Simple. 9 phones in a row now.
