Restore from iCloud fail...

Set up my new Phone to restore from iCloud. Was taking hours and you couldn't do anything on the phone . Canceled and backed up my old phone in iTunes and restored from iTunes and it took 2 min. Wonder if it's just because their servers are being pounded. Anyone have a different experience
