My system is unusable in High Sierra. I've dealt with it for a full month. NVIDIA CUDA is buggy and I can't run an external monitor anymore the system slows down to molasses like click the mouse and no response for 5+ seconds. The culprit is NVIDIA's drivers and their how to uninstall page doesn't work. It points to a location that is incorrect for where their drivers are installed.

I'd like to restore to my time machine backup w/o their drivers...what option do I uncheck in the restore process? Is it "Network & Settings"? I'd have to reconfigure all of my network bits but that's worth it in my opinion.

You might get an easier solution here to uninstalling the drivers.

Went through a few steps to rip out all of the NVIDIA drivers. going to do a simple TM restore anyway after backing up after removing all drivers.
