My situation:
I have a 1.1.1 ipod touch, jailbreaked.
It freezes up.
I go to plug it into iTunes on my freshly wiped and reinstalled (since i downloaded the 1.1.1 update) mac running Leopard.
Itunes forces me to download the 1.1.2 updade before it restores.
I do this but it gives me the 1604 error.
I really do believe the issue is that It (jailbreak, whatever) doesn't like the 1.1.2 update while restoring.
Perhaps someone would be kind enough to share their 1.1.1 update file so I could back up to THAT restore and go from there.

Of course if someone knows where to grab the 'old' firmware and it's already online somewhere please tell me where!
