Restore iPhone 4 problems

I recently purchased a new iPhone 4 and wanted to restore my settings from my previous backup. I am running 4.1 on both phones. For whatever reason I cannot restore from backup. Any idea what might be causing this?

I just downgraded from 4.1 to 4.0.1. Let me guess. It is saying that it basically isn't compatible? Luckily I had an older back up from 4.0.1 that worked. I couldn't find a way around it

Exactly. Its pretty annoying because I really did not want to start over. Guess thats my only choice.

Unfortunetly that's the only thing that will work.
