Restore iPhone from an old mac back up

Is it possible to restore my phone from a previous older iPhone back up made in itunes on my mac?

From your original message, I thought you had the backup!

Update iTunes on the computer that you think has the backup and connect your phone and try to restore. If you have a backup it will show up as available to use. If not, you are likely out of luck.

Hi yes i have backed up but i wanted to go the previous back up, so not the last back up the one prior to it

You can't. iTunes overwrites backups.
