The home button on our iPhone 4 is failing. It only works temperamentally.

The iPhone is jailbroken and running iOS 5.0.1.

Cydia has all the the SHSH blobs for iOS 4.3.2, 4.3.3, 5.0.1 (& 5.1 which I don't understand as it's never run 5.1).

If, after performing my daily backup, I restore to factory settings and return the iPhone to Apple under warranty, I will probably be given a replacement iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1 (which can't yet be jailbroken untethered).

Will I be able to restore to 5.0.1 and then restore all my apps / data / jailbreak or will this fail because (as far as I am aware) the SHSH blobs will only help me restore my old phone?

In order... No and yes.

Erm... meaning:

No, I won't be able to restore to 5.0.1 and then restore all my apps / data / jailbreak

and

Yes, it will fail because the SHSH blobs will only help me restore my old phone?

If I've understood that correctly, then, it's not possible to get my phone replaced without losing my untethered jailbreak (until such time as an untethered version becomes available for 5.1).

Correct?
