Hopefully you guys can help me out with this.

When I upgraded my original 250gb hard drive to a 750gb drive, I cloned over my main hard drive partition, and forgot about the Lion recovery partition.

Does anyone know if i can recreate this recovery partition from within Lion, or if not, if it’s possible to clone over the recovery partition from my old drive?

Thanks!

I am about to clone my Lion drive as well (to a smaller, but faster drive) and have been doing research about how to preserve the recovery partition.

There are few ways to do this. Many are discussed in this thread.

I was thinking I might do a clean install of Lion on the new drive (this also installs the recovery partition) and then using Migration Assistant to pull over all my apps, data and prefs.

You can also recreate this partition after the fact, using Apple's "Lion Recovery Disk Assistant" tool.

will definitely have a lot to think about! Thanks for both your guys’ help!
