Hi:

I upgraded my 3GS to iOS4 and it's been slow. Someone suggested to set up my phone as new and it will help. True?

If true, then can I sync my 3GS first to create the most recent backup, then restore the phone and set it up as new, and then sync the phone to the latest backup so I can get all my data back on the phone?

Thanks.

It's the bad data IN the backup causing you issues. However, as long as you name the phone something different than the backup it can be restored from the backup.
