Restore My Setting on an Unlocked iPhone

I just picked myself up an unlocked iPhone and now I don't know how to get my settings over to it. I'd like to just right click on it in iTunes and select "restore from backup", but I'm not totally sure that won't result in a re-locked phone. I just want to restore settings, not software...

If it's factory unlocked, it won't be affected. If it's jb unlocked, I don't think you'll lose the unlock but it's possible. If it does, just jb again and unlock? Your firmware and bb won't be changed so I don't see why it'd be an issue.
