Hi,

I tried to jailbreak my iphone 4 on 4.3.3 last night. All went well but I lost my settings (mail accounts and all my text messages, though contacts restored fine). I thought it might be a one off so restored my iphone with iTunes to the non-jailbroken state this morning. After restoring from backup my texts & mail accounts still haven't been restored. I extracted the backup file to an xml and all the texts are definitely stored in it, just iTunes isn't recovering them. Can anyone offer advice? Or alternatively how I can manually get the backed up messages back onto the device?

Many thanks!
Mike

same thing just happened to me...I did a restore cause my phone kept on rebooting, and now all my previous messages are gone...although all my contacts and notes are still there. Also, I just tried to send a text to myself and it doesn't even so the progress bar at the top of the message...the text box just disappears as if the home button was pressed, and it bring me back to all the icons.

Any ideas out there?
