Restore or Sync

Hopefully I'll see my pre-order tomorrow. I'm upgrading from a 3GS, so I'm pretty excited. Just wanted to know whether I should a full restore or just sync my music, apps, contacts, etc. Curious to hear what others are doing and get the pros and cons of either method.
