Hi,

I've had to do a fresh install and I'm re installing all my applications instead of a full system restore to get rid of unwanted stuff.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to restore my mail app with all my accounts and mail set up and saved? - its very important i dont loose my emails as there not on the server they came from still.

Also where are the safari bookmarks kept so I can restore them too please?

Thanks a lot
Luke.

I don't know if you can restore the actual applications from TM, as they would be installed during the reinstallation process, but to get to your mail copy the following folder and file from the TM backup.

Time Machine / Backups.Backupdb / backupname / Users / YOU / Library / Mail to Macintosh HD / Users / YOU / Library /
and
Time Machine / Backups.Backupdb / backupname / Users / YOU / Library / Preferences / com.apple.mail.plist to Macintosh HD / Users / YOU / Library / Preferences /

The same goes for Safari Bookmarks, go to
Time Machine / Backups.Backupdb / backupname / Users / YOU / Library / Safari and copy the folder or Bookmarks.plist file to Macintosh HD / Users / YOU / Library / Safari
