I have my Macbook hard drive partitioned with bootcamp can I restore my mac partition ( having issues) and leave my windows partition alone... So I guess the question is if I restore leopard will the windows be left alone and be fine

Partitions are separate volumes, seen as separate drives. As long as you do not format the drive, but only the partition, you'll be fine.
So when I go to restore I always load disk utility (via leopard install disk) if I click erase (my mac partition ) it will leave windows alone!
