Hi everyone,
I want to keep my SAM activation even after restoring the firmware (and therefore removing the jailbreak). I'm running an iPhone 4 on iOS 6.1.3.

Do you have any idea on how to do that?

Best regards,
Pedro.

You need to be jb to use SAM.

The best "method" I found was to jailbreak tethered without installing Cydia. All the applications work.

The thing is, back in the day when the SAM exploit was active, I was able to restore the iOS and keep the unlock until I forgot to update the iOS 6.1 beta.

Yep.
That would do it too as long as you have your Sam activation tokens saved using the same SIM card and phone offcourse.
What carrier if yours locked to?

I already backed it up
My phone is locked to a Portuguese carrier, so no luck on getting the unlock for it :(

Well the carrier thing does.
But if you jb and install Sam then you can use those backed up activation tokens to activate and unlock it again.

No need. Just JB the device without Cydia and restore the tickets using redsn0w.
Next iPhone is definitely going to be bought in the US. Unlocked and $300 cheaper than in my country.
