Restore snow leapard

I have a macbook and it runs snow leopard. I want to restore it to factory default but i dont have the disk. How do i do it?

You need the disk. You may be able to get a replacement from Apple.

For every OS released after Snow Leopard, you can just download it from the App Store (free) and make an install drive and do a clean install.

Snow Leopard and older, you need the restore DVDs.

Do you know which model of MacBook you have? If it originally came with 10.6 then the linked DVD may not work.
