I had a sparse disk image that started at 6 gigs. I edited it and deleted some files and the actual size is now 4.4 gigs. So Finder says it's capacity is 6gb but the used space is 4.4gb.

I'm trying to restore this disk image to another disk image that is 4.5gb. I've even tried 4.9gb just to see if it would work but I get this message in Disk Utility that there is not enough space to restore.

I need to restore the larger image to the smaller image. In reality the larger one uses less space than the total free space of the other so...wtf?
