Hi,

Yesterday my Macbook pro (os x 10.6) broke down. I am temporarily using an older mac (os x 10.4 - it isn't an intel mac so installing os x 10.6 isn't possible I believe). However, I want to restore some of my time machine backups to this computer. When I try to copy the files and remove my backup disk the files won't work. Is there a solution?

Cheers!
Jur

OS X 10.4 didn't have Time Machine... I'm not sure does it have Migration Assistant, if it does, that might work

It has migration assistant but then I only have the following options:
"Migrate from another mac using FireWire"
(my other mac is at the macrepair and my backup disk doesn't have firewire)

"Migrate from another volume in this mac that has OS X installed"
I haven't installed OS X on my backup disk... :(

Does the files work when you try to e.g. play a song? For me they do but I'm running 10.6. CCC might work, not sure

If I copy the files they work until I remove my backup disk from the system...

I'll try CCC

Thanks in advance!

I tried, drag and 'copy'+'paste'

CCC doesn't work...doesn't recognize the backup files or so...
