Resolved Restore to factory setting to unlock?

Got my Tmo non contract iPhone 6 on the 19th and activated it with H2OWireless sim card. No problem so far. H2O doesn't have LTE but it runs 4G speed which is enough for me.

I just wonder one thing. How important is the "restore to factory setting in iTune and get unlock message" to unlock? The reason I ask is that when I go to one of the IMEI checking web site I saw my "sim lock" information as "Unknown"

I'll need to travel oversea next week. Just want to make sure I can bring my iPhone 6 with me and use foreign carrier. Do I need to do the "backup"->"reset" -> "restore" process again? or can I just use it as it is now?

You don't need to restore it. It's already unlocked.
