Restore to iPhone 3 from iPhone 2. Upgrade

:confused:I have given my OH my iPhone 3. How do we restore his info from iphone 2 onto the iPhone 3 ? The iPhone 3 just keeps identifying me as the phones owner and will only restore my back up. Greatly appreciate your help.;)
