So, you have purchased your new fancy iPhone 12/12 Pro.
Some of you may be restoring via iCloud.

Do you happen to have any MFA apps (multi-factor authentication),the Apple MFA or even the likes of Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator installed?

If so, when you restore from iCloud, do you have to add all your MFA accounts back to Google Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator, too?

Nope. I’ve got Microsoft Authenticator backing up to iCloud.

The Google App cant be backed up, that's why I stopped using it.
MIcrosoft auth app has an iCloud Backup function since November 2019, but you have to manually set it up in the app.

Ah, so once you restored your device, all your 'accounts' in Microsoft Authenticator showed up?
Curious, have you also logged into a website, to confirm you can access with the Authenticator?

Thanks - in the past, I have always setup my devices as NEW. Thus, my two MFA apps (Google and Microsoft), always annoyed me, trying to re-add all my secure accounts...

Nope. I’ve got Microsoft Authenticator backing up to iCloud.
