Hi Folks,

I got my rMBP the other day, and I'd like to take the time machine backup that I have from my old macbook air to my new macbook pro. Is this a bad idea? Does it just copy my files back, or does it try to also overwrite system files and stuff that might slow down the computer somehow?

Time Machine restore only restores user files and prefs. No system files are transferred...so you can restore any mac to any mac without any problems.
