I purchases an iPhone 4s second hand. This one checked out with verizon the old owner left his info on the phone. I rest settings and just did the erase all data. The wait sign is spinning for over an hour. Is this normal for a 64gig iPhone?

Maybe you should just restore it to factory settings through iTunes on your computer.

It should only take a couple minutes. Do you know if the phone was jailbroken (hacked)? Generally jailbroken phones will do this when you use the "Erase All Content and Settings" option. You have to restore using iTunes on your computer.

After get it restored, I did this as well.
