Anyone ever experienced this?

I've been updating, restoring from backup for 5-6 months now, and was playing with iOS5 and didn't like it, so downgraded back, but lost my backup... no biggie, so did a restore from new, and noticing my battery life is way better than before...

Talking 6-7 hours usage on 3G, using internet, mail, sms and some other apps :)

Before I'd be lucky to get 4-5 hours when using 3G

Before, I just assumed my battery was getting old, I have a 3GS

My IP4 was a little slow and had some bug, so I restored it from new and besides the Game Center bug I had has disappeared, my battery life has improved and the phone feels faster and snappier :)

4.3.4

Never JB

Yeah, I'd never install a major release as an upgrade... always spells trouble

Restoring from new = losing all your apps? How does it work...or a clean install for that matter. Sorry I'm not sure I understand the lingo here :X

As long as everything is in your app library and music l;ibrary, etc, when you restore as new, you can just sync it all back.

Buttt, you lose all your app data like game saves. I have 3 stars in every level of Angry Birds...I will never set up as new.

Upgrade to ios 5, sync to icloud, then restore as new. Game data saved.

How is restoring from an iCloud backup any different than restoring via an iTunes backup? Even if you restore as new, afterwards you are still restoring from a backup to get your app data
