Okay, so in the middle of updating my iPhone's library using 3rd-Party software, the 3rd-party program crashed for no reason (or I subconsciously quit mid-update for no reason!)...But either way, the iTunesDB file and whatever files that are used to communicate with iTunes got screwed up and iTunes told me it could no longer read my device's database and demanded a restore. I sccrewed around with some of the device's files (not smart). iTunes then didn't give me the error, but showed a window as if I had Just restored it (naming the device, etc.)...So I hesitantly clicked "done" and the stuff on my iPhone immediately started getting deleted. I quickly unplugged the device then plugged it back in. I used a program called I-Funbox to move the "Applications" folder somewhere where iTunes wouldn't mess with it (still on the device).

So now I've got a folder with all my apps in it and I don't know how to put them back on my iPhone through iTunes. I added ".ipa" extension at the end of an app's folder name then put it in iTunes...Shouldn't have worked, but it seemed to...However, it made me authorize the app with that computer, computer #4—a public university computer whose memory is wiped each time you log out. I don't want to authorize apps on random computers! I just want a way to get all my apps back! Ha ha Another idea I had was to zip all the files in the app folder and rename the extension to .ipa?

Any suggestions?
Thanks!:apple:

P.S. I heard iTunes keeps track of what apps were purchased via your account? I could just re-download those, then?

Also, sorry for the all-caps in the title...mods probably don't like that...ha ha
