After syncing my phone several times just to be sure I went ahead and upgraded to 6.1.3 thinking everything was safe to do so. Once I got the phone back I was ready to restore and iTunes did not find my last sync so in short I lost all my contacts  Can anyone help me try to find my missing contacts. I tried to recover them by previous syncs but there is not listed and I also tried to use Dr. Fone with no luck. How can they be missing after I synced my phone??? Please help!!! Thank you for your assistance!

Did you not have iCloud syncing your contacts?

Sounds like iTunes was not syncing your contacts.

I believe in both backing up on the computer via iTunes AND letting the cloud do it own backups. It is all depending on how much you value what is in your phone.

Exactly, I don't trust the cloud any farther than I can throw it.

If you don't have a backup, a backup with contacts saved, nor do you sync to iCloud, I'm afraid you're out of luck.

I learned this lesson earlier in the year before I got in to iCloud. Now I wouldnt be without it backing up all my important information and allowing me to access within my browser.

As people have said try restoring from the last known good backup.

Some other tips are that Facebook and Twitter have some services that allow you to import all of the contacts from these service. This is something that is fairly easy to do and most of the time it covers a great deal of the contacts that people loose.

Hope this helps!

Contact your phone service provider and ask them to keep your number.

If you want to restore contact numbers, you may need a recovery tool that might be able to restore your contact lists.

However i did not tried, i guess there are some tools.
