Just FYI:
I was running iOS 4.1 since release day and since it is a beta 1, there are a few bugs that are bothering my everyday use such as:
* MMS - images sent and received are BLACK. You can tap and hold the black image and select save, it will appear in your photos. However, if you go back into the SMS app after doing the save image feature, the app will crash and not restart (this crashing happens randomly; sometimes not at all)
* The camera shutter lag - there is a slight >.5 second lag compared to iOS 4.0 - now it is definitely more noticeable after you snap a picture, the shutter doesn't seem to be instantaneous; but you can keep hitting the capture button and the camera will snap one image after another.
* Baseband is updated
* The bars (visually measuring AT&T's crappy network) is reworked but other than that, the grip of death still applies
* Proximity sensor still is flaky even with iOS 4.1 beta 1
So I know the JB will be released this week (don't ask me how I know) - and I needed to go back to 4.0 - I will lose the sim unlock but I am on AT&T and don't plan on selling my iPhone 4. Just a heads up for folks who have upgraded to iOS 4.1, you can just downgrade back to iOS 4.0
Be sure to edit your /etc/hosts file to point to saurik's server. I did not back up my shsh blobs and if you don't have that gs.apple.com host line inside the host file, it won't allow you to downgrade.
Once you have completed the RESTORE, it will error out with a 1004 error. Just use the libusb-0.1.4.dylib with iRecovery and reboot your iPHone 4 back into normal mode having iOS 4.0 fully restored.
You can page me if you have any questions.
