Restored iPhone as new; the right backup not showing in iTunes

So I just accidentally restored my iPhone as new with iTunes. That wiped out all my photos and other data. When I tried to restore from an iTunes backup, it only showed me the backup that was made after the iPhone was wiped. However, I looked in /Users/myname/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup, and there is a directory with an older backup that has all my pictures! But iTunes doesn't show that particular backup to me. Is there any way I can restore from that directory?
