Restored MBP to factory setting, Reinstalled iPhoto, photos still there, how?

But the videos are gone, im confused...I already have 1000 photos in my cloud, and I only have 5gb of storage so where exactly are my iphoto photo's being saved to?

iPhoto library is located at -
~/Picture/iPhoto Library.photolibrary

The 1000 photos are stored in your photo stream online.

5GB is free storage quota of your iCloud account.

iPhoto stores photos off-line by default.
