Wondering how I can do this? My iPhone has 3.1.2 and I would rather not upgrade to the newest version becauae of jbing. How can I be sure i keep the same software. I have the software downloaded, could I option click the " restore button" and manually find the software and load it in that way without having to upgrade to 3.1.3? Thanks !

Time to play the guessing game as to what kind of phone you have!

Edit: I figured i'd be helpful... An option+restore will allow you to manually select which firmware you want and it'll work just fine, just so long as it is not a 3GS (in which case you may be screwed if you want to just restore to a non-3.1.3 state)

3gs. I ended up restoring to factory. I am ok with it, as i kept my JB iPhone pretty limited, but i mis the tethering options for when i get iPad :/
