restoring 3G on 4.2.1

heres my issue

i had my 3G jailbroken and unlocked on 4.2.1 using the ipad baseband

i started to have issues when i click a link to take me somewhere else and springboard crashes, i decided to restore and use greenpois0n to jailbreak.

being the idiot i am i totally forgot about the ipad baseband issue, well i cant restore back into 4.2.1, im stuck at the itunes logo, help?!

Why dont you restore back to 3.1.3
Then JB it and install ultrasnow to unlock.

You can on a 3G with 3.1.3 and below.
4.0 and higher you will need a custom ipsw firmware file.

With 3G, you can downgrade IOS to 3.x.x without SHSH save.

What happen? Did you get a 1015 error? Just download tiny umbrella and hit "exit recovery".

thats werid, i got the 1015 error and my 3G, went into recovery mode via tiny umbrealla, i left to get something to eat and its fine

just a question, you cant restore to 4.x.x using tinyumbrella from 3.x.x? even with the SHSH blobs saved?

You can. However, because you have the iPad baseband on your phone. You can't use official firmware from apple. The firmware needs to be made by penates tool (hence Mac computer). Otherwise it will not work.
