Restoring 3G to 3.1.3

Hi Everyone.

I have an old 3G I'm lending to someone and I want to restore it to 3.1.3 I know that went I try to restore it via iTunes it will try to download and install iOS 4 which would make it slow.

Is there anyway I can install 3.1.3 manually? Any help would be greatly appreciated
