I, on advice from Applecare, reformatted my Mac earlier after using SuperDuper to duplicate my HDD.

My question is this; I'm simply trying to restore my home folder, but when I attempt to do it, it tells me some files have special permissions, then tells me it cannot be completed. Any way to get around this?

Easiest thing is copy the files you need not the whole home folder. Mainly the documents, music, pictures. Stuff that is in the library isnt always needed, certain things such as addressbook, mail.app mail, and other programs store stuff there. Google is the best referance for finding where programs store their files. If you need help with a specific program post away and help ya out.
