Hi,
I have a 2008 MBP (13") and I have someone who wants to buy it so I want to wipe it - which I thought would be easy!
It currently has MountainLion on it but of course I don't have the original install discs anymore (Move around a lot things get lost, etc). But I do have a retail version of Snow Leopard so i figured I could restore it to that...
However if I try and boot from it (Holding C as soon as the chime happens) it just stays at the grey screen (CD drive whirls to life but then nothing). The laptop can read the Disc ok in OS X so why won't it boot from it?
