Hi Im a first time poster lol. My daughters iPhone 3Gs got stolen and I had a 3G as a spare and was wondering if it was possible to use her last back up from the 3Gs to restore in the 3G? Thank you.

This will only work if:

a) The 3G's firmware is higher than the one that the 3Gs was on.

or

b) The 3G's firmware is the same as the one that the 3Gs was on.

For example: If the 3Gs was on 4.3.3 and the backup was from 4.3.3, the backup cannot be restored to the 3G because the latest firmware for that phone was 4.2.1.
