my phone is getting cluttered so I wanna do a full restore. Right now I have a 32 3GS running version 3.0.1 (7A400), firmware err baseband 04.26.08. In cydia i have the "SHSHs on file for iPhone OS 3.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3"

I'm not sure which of that info is important, but I want my phone to be exactly the same os and baseband and everything after the restore. Also is there any reason to stay 3.0.1 and not 3.1? Is it only bad if I upgarde to 3.1.3? I also wanna keep the value for when i sell it in a few months.

thanks!

i dont think there is anyway you can stay on the 3.0.1 you can restore and update using this website http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ just pick 3.1 iphone 3gs and then option + restore on iTune or using pwnage to jailbreak + update to 3.1 up to you

baseband 04.26.08

I just had to post and say YOU LUCKY B-TARD =) Use the method luvu01 described, preferably PwnageTool, and if you don't mess up your baseband (meaning accidentaly upgrading it to 05.11.07 or 05.12.01) you have a bullion of gold in your hand

People have been known to kill for early bootrom and 04.26.08 :D

really? what are the chances I accidentally screw it up?

Just a note: if you really prefer the 3.0.1 firmware, there is no reason you shouldn't be able to create a custom 3.0.1 firmware with PwnageTool and restore to it in recovery mode. I'm not saying there's really any reason not to go to 3.1.2 custom (not stock!), just that you do always have that option.
