Restoring backups

My wife and I share a Imac snow leopard based computer; We noticed an error message pop up on a sync stating that certain music files could not be found. I recently used Onxy utility to clean my imac because I was getting a lot of spinning beachballs-more than usual. I used the basic functions in the Onyx. things seemed to run better. Whatever the case, I figured I would just do a restore to an earlier date on Itunes; She syncs at least weekly; why are these syncs not in the restore drop down window? There's some from back in March. Mine are up to date......ideas? Suggestions?

Apparently, my backups are not up to date as well........why is this occurring. I have plenty from July, none from Aug or Sept????
