Restoring Deleted Files??

I accidently deleted some files that are very important to me (yes, including from the trash..). i don't even have a backup of them... is there anyway to restore them? a software? something on the macbook i can do?

obligatory Time Machine mention. if not you can try using FileSalvage or Data Rescue II.

And before you look for them using one of those programs, make sure you don't write any data to the disk you deleted the files from. Any disk activity can potentially overwrite the files, meaning they're lost for ever.
