Restoring Documents icon (folder) to lower right of dock

My wife's MBA has somewhere along the way lost its Documents icon from the right corner of the dock. She still has Downloads and Trash there.
Anyone know how to restore the original Documents? Currently on 14.4.1, but this has been trouble for a while. Thank you!

In Finder, open the Go menu and choose Home. The Documents folder should be visible, and you can drag it to the Dock.

Yep. This makes an alias (or "copy") of the folder in the Dock. It does not move the folder.
