restoring from a 2G Jailbroken backup to a 3g s

this is a hypothetical question obviously, because no one here has a 3gs presumebly.
but, i was wondering about what would happen or go wrong, if anything, if i chose to restore from a backup from a previously jailbroken phone.
i understand taht complications can occur, and i'm leaning towards just not bothering since a) it's been a while since i've even made a backup, and b) the benefits seem marginal, as everything is synced with the computer anyway
