Restoring From a CCC Backup

My powerbook died and I had to replace the hard drive but luckily I had a recent backup around. A couple questions:

1. How do I "boot" from this image so I can restore my computer (its a .sparceimage file) (actually if you could link me to a CCC walkthrough or describe the process that would be wonderful)

2. Will it matter that I upgraded the space on my hard drive?
