I got a new iPhone 5S yesterday under warranty. Before that, I had another iPhone 5S with iOS 8.2, and I backed up on iTunes.
After I got the new iPhone, I updated to 8.3 (the new phone came with 8.1.3). When I tried to restore from back-up through iTunes, I get a message: "iTunes could not restore the iPhone XXXXXX because the backup was corrupt or is not compatible with the iPhone that is beinng restored"
I tried a lot of things. I called Apple. I did a completely restore of my iPhone through iTunes. I tried to restore from the same back-up on a different Mac. Tried an older back-up. But I still got the same message each time.
What could be wrong? I know the back-up data is not corrupt because I restored from the same back-up before I brought my phone in for replacement.
Thanks in advance.
