Hello everybody! So I just got my new 4S, and I want to restore it from my backup of my 3Gs but I am worried that it will uninstall iOS5... And install the iOs that my 3GS had. Can someone tell me if this happens when restoring? or does it simply reload the contacts apps music ect without reverting to the old iOS (sorry if this is a dumb question... I've never had a "new" iPhone :) )

The operating system will not be changed. Just your data, apps, etc will be added.

Thank you!
