So today I had a new hard drive installed to my 2010 MBP. When I got home and tried to restore from time machine, my new HDD wasn't an option.
How can I fix this? I have done any research so I'm sorry if there's an easy fix somewhere.

Before you restore from time machine.... Boot from the OSX DVD... start disk utility... initialize (format) the new hard drive (that is in your machine).

Now you can try restoring from time machine.
