Hello,

I want to do a restore on my iphone 3G, via iTunes, but i am concerned about the restore function and its impact. As I stated, it's an iPhone 3G and iTunes is running on Windows 7. I realize iTunes does a backup of the IPhone. But my question is what does the backup NOT save? I have contacts, saved text messages, apps from the app store, notes, wireless networks (their passcodes), and the like. After I restore my iPhone and return the data that was backed up, will my iPhone look exactly the same? And if not, what will be deleted?

Thank you.

Basically no Music, Videos are backed up.

However there is a nice long list located here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Click on "About Syncing and Backups", then on "iTunes will back up the following information" to see the full list of what it WILL backup.
