I have an iPhone 3G lying about and want to mess around for a bit. Is this possible? I know I'll have a fair few baseband downgrades to perform.

Thanks

I'm not sure you can. Because you can only downgrade the baseband in a early few 3G iPhone. Its unlikely you have one of those rare few.

I got mine on the 1st November 2008. Is that early enough? Maybe 2.1 would be my limit, I remember updating to 2.2.

EDIT: Looking at Wikipedias iOS history the furthest I could go back is 2.1. Has anyone any experience of doing this?
