Hi there,

I am a mac user and have recently tried to downgrade my iPhone 3G to the 3.1.3 firmware, for obvious reasons. After I had itunes wouldn't let me restore from my backup as it was from a newer firmware. Anyway, I gave up and followed the instructions on itunes which said to press start iphone as a new one and then restore from backup once it was updated to the latest firmware.

After doing so my backup had disappeared and was replace by a new one of a new name and which had none of my old files.

Is there anyway to restore my iphone from an older backup? I have very important notes on my old backup and really do need it.

Thanks,

Nick.
